Taking the Blower Brush for a Test Drive
My hair has always been a little difficult. It’s not curly but it’s not straight either. What it definitely is is FRIZZY. I get weird bumps and waves in it and getting it to look manageable is usually at the hands of the pros. I have succumbed and finally tried the Brazilian Blow Out a few times but with my constant training, I am either in the pool or sweating (sometimes both, back to back!). My treatment does not last the length it should (roughly 3-4 months) and I can’t possibly afford to keep it going while on an intense triathlon training schedule.
As a result of the training, I live off of dry shampoo and do the full wash and blow dry only once a week. As most people with frizzy, dry hair know, the dirtier your hair is, the better it looks and more manageable it is. So, when you finally DO wash and dry it, you have a puffy, unattractive, straight mess to deal with.
Enter the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer !
I have many friends that swear by it. I have been skeptical just because taming my hair has never been remotely easy so if it is sounds to good to be true, well, you know…
Despite my initial apprehension, I decided to buy it and give it a try. What could it hurt, right?
So, I present to you my first ever product review and demonstration. I decided to document the very first time I used it so excuse the lighting and poor angles, etc. Full disclosure, I washed my hair the night before and this video was taken the next morning after kiddo drop off. My hair is still kind of damp so I will have to do another test when I am right out of the shower to compare.
Actual time was right at 5 minutes beginning to end. (I normally spend at least 20 minutes getting the same result with a blow dryer and round brush.)
As I said, the true test would be doing this with a wet head of hair. Since this test, I have used it every morning in the same manner and am pleased with the little effort it takes to get my hair look sleeker than usual. As a busy mom of 4 in the midst of Ironman training, every minute saved helps! I would like to also add that in the last week I have spent less time with my hair in a pony tail (the normal and easy route for me).
Give me your thoughts…have you used this type a product before and what do you think of it? Or duh, am I the last person to even try this? If you haven’t and would like to, I’ve linked it in my Amazon store above.
